Green Arrives in Biloxi!
(by Craig Watt - fightnews.com)

08/08/2009 - Australian two time world champion Danny “The Green Machine” Green (26-3, 23 KOs) has touched down in the US in Biloxi, Mississippi in advance of his IBO cruiserweight title fight with Argentinean Julio Cesar Dominguez (20-4-1, 14 KOs) at the Gulf Coast Arena on August 15th. Whilst it is winter in his home country of Australia, the temperatures in Biloxi and the Deep South in recent days have provided an acclimatization challenge and Team Green have switched training sessions to the early evening to combat the change in climate compared to Australia. Green’s trainer Angelo Hyder stated, “We always knew the climate change would be a challenge and that is why we have come over for two weeks to get used to the conditions. Judging by the last session we have just completed, Danny is on fire and I don’t anticipate any issues and I know Danny will go out and prove this is one of Australia’s best fighters in history.”

If the 36-year-old Green secured the IBO cruiserweight title on the 15th of August, he will emulate Jeff Fenech who secured three world titles at featherweight, super featherweight and lightweight in his exciting career and is widely regarded as one of Australia’s greatest champions. In addition to this honor, Green must win and look impressive to tempt the seven time world champion Roy Jones Jr to Australia in a planned mega-fight in November
