ASix time world champion and unified super flyweight champion Vic Darchinyan will be stepping up a weight division to combine the achievements of Australian boxing legends Kostya Tszyu and Jeff Fenech.

Vic Darchinyan is now facing a fighter that has never been knocked in 72 professional bouts in 28 year old Filipino Eric Barcelona

With the developments occurring in the last couple of days and the collapse of Darchinyan v Donaire II, team Darchinyan has moved quickly to secure the IBO bantamweight world title bout for Aussie world boxing champ Vic darchinyan.

The biggest night of boxing ever seen on Fox Sports will happen in a little under 2 weeks at Parramatta Leagues Club when Gary Shaw Productions , Pain Away Australia & Nitro Boxing present Vic Darchinyan in a World Title Bout on Thursday May 20.

"It can be 12 or 18 months without a fight' Darchinyan said. "I love to fight and must fight regularly to stay at my best and stay on top. This fight has been made possible by major sponsors coming on board, Painaway Australia and my Russian sponsors TASHIR. This fight will be beamed live to Russia and Armenia, and will be taken on delay in the US on the CBS - Showtime Television Network.

The reigning WBC Super Flyweight and WBA Super World Super Flyweight Champion will be involved in a World Title Bout against Filipino warrior Eric Barcelona. Never before has a reigning UNIFIED World Champion headlined a show on Fox Sports and this show will be a block-buster.

Other stars featuring on this card include, current UNDEFEATED Aussie sensation Will Tomlinson, former World Title Challenger Noufel Ben Rabah, the return of the 2008 Prospect of the Year Willie Kickett, Sydney favorite Zac Awad and a future boxing star that will be making his professional debut - Mostyn Niemann who will battle the Carl Webb Destroyer, giant killer Scott Lewis in the battle of the heavyweights. Also making his heavyweight debut will be BIG Willie Felippe, taking on Kickboxing sensation Andre Popovic.

34 year-old and SIX TIME WORLD CHAMPION Vic Darchinyan, the Armenian born 2000 Olympian and Australian citizen, has a professional boxing record of 34 wins, 2 loss, 1 draw and 27 wins by knockout.
