Wladimir Klitschko to defend Boxing Heavyweight Titles

IWladimir Klitschko is back in the ring. The boxing star, actor, chess fanatic and language expert agreed to fight the Russian Alexander Povetkin to defend his heavyweight title. Klitschko’s management company declared on Thursday, that everything has been worked out and therefore the stage is set for the fight on September 11, 2010 in Frankfurt’s (Germany) Commerzbank Arena.

Klitschko, the Ukrainian champ who resides in Germany, presently holds the WBO, IBF and IBO belts and, as usual, speaks highly of his opponent. He also pointed out, the fact that Povetkin and he are both Olympic Champions and that speaks for itself.

Povetkin is 30 years old with a 19-0 record. He was not as charming when asked about his chances in the upcoming fight and stated, that he would snatch the belts away from the 34-year-old Klitschko, who looks back on a record of 54 victories in 57 matches.
